UfiSpace Receives TIP Compliant Ribbons for S9501 Series Disaggregated Cell Site Gateways
New Taipei, Taiwan, August, 30, 2022 -- UfiSpace, the leading enabler of open and disaggregated transport networking solutions, announced today that their S9501-18SMT and S9501-28SMT disaggregated cell site gateways (DCSG) have received Telecom Infra Project (TIP) Requirements Compliant Ribbons and have been subsequently listed onto the TIP Exchange Marketplace. Prior to this announcement two more UfiSpace DCSGs, the S9500-22XST and S9500-30XS, have received TIP Gold Badges.
DCSG is called to foster innovation, provide more flexibility, and deliver a wider choice for service providers looking to optimize their mobile networks for 5G services. The DCSG solution was designed within TIP’s Open Optical & Open Transport (OOPT) Group and the DCSG subgroup is currently led by Vodafone and Meta.
UfiSpace's S9501-18SMT and S9501-28SMT are a part of their S9500 series. The two models are designed to provide a smooth transitioning to 5G networks, while enabling the deployment of disaggregated transport network services. Populated with high density 1G and 10G network interfaces, so they can aggregate legacy and 5G BBU equipment. Built with Broadcom’s Qumran-UX silicon, the S9501-18SMT offers 64Gb and S9501-28SMT offers 128Gb of switching capacity. All of UfiSpace’s DCSGs offer rich timing interfaces and comply with Class-C timing accuracy to enable 3G, 4G and 5G services.
