UfiSpace Releases 10G Open Network Switch with Programmable Pipeline
New Taipei, Taiwan, June 30, 2023 -- UfiSpace, the leading provider of open and disaggregated transport network solutions, announced today the release of a new 10G ethernet switch, the S7801-54XS. This state-of-the-art switch is powered by the Broadcom StrataXGS® Trident3-X5 chip, solidifying UfiSpace's commitment to delivering innovative open networking solutions.
The S7801-54XS is designed to meet the demands of modern data centers. It features 48x 10G SFP+ ports with 6x 100G QSFP28 uplinks. Built with high reliability in mind, it is powered by dual-redundant PSUs, and is equipped with 5 fan modules working in 4+1 configuration. The switch comes in front-to-back and back-to-front airflow options. Its compact form factor and high-density configuration make it an ideal choice for deployment as either a Top-of-Rack (ToR) or leaf switch, providing versatile connectivity options and efficient traffic management.
Meticulously engineered, this high-quality switch offers data centers an extensive range of features, comprehensive protocol support, and runtime programmability, thus ensuring optimal switching performance even in the most demanding environments. Preloaded with ONIE, it offers a wide support for NOS, including SONIC and Commercial NOS, enabling data center operators to choose better optimized software for their needs.
The S7801-54XS excels in optimizing network performance. It actively monitors link statuses, dynamically reassigning traffic flows to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, it is specifically designed to optimize the management of east-west traffic patterns, facilitating seamless data transmission within data centers. With its centralized and adaptive packet memory management architecture, this switch enables efficient packet handling and minimizes data latency.
Equipped with on-chip packet buffers, the S7801-54XS minimizes data latency, providing swift and reliable data transmission. Its dynamic load balancing capabilities enhance Equal-Cost Multi-Path (ECMP) routing, optimizing network performance and ensuring balanced distribution of network traffic. Moreover, the switch offers programmable support for enhanced network telemetry, enabling real-time monitoring and analysis of network performance.
The S7801-54XS is part of the end-to-end common Trident 3 (TD3) architecture that scales from wiring closet units to campus-cores, providing consistency in features and software programming that translates into reduced development costs and quick time-to-market.
